Strategic Case Study:

Problem:
When the pandemic closed the doors of the Fowler, the Museum needed fresh digital solutions to reach its audience.

Solution:
I initiated four large-scale projects to pivot the Museum more firmly to digital:
1. A major redesign and technical updating of the Fowler website.
2. A robust online public program platform
3. A new slate of weekly themed Instagram campaigns to highlight the incredible stories of objects from the Fowler’s collection of art from Asia, Africa, and the Americas
4. The Fowler “At Home” blog, where curators and the Director of the Museum can post short and long form visual essays.

Result
The Fowler’s audience grew dramatically in numbers and geographic reach. The online public program series, in particular, became a hit, garnering 1000’s of viewers at a time from all over the globe. The Museum’s Instagram account also passed over the all-important 10k follower mark and now regularly receives 100s of likes on posts.
