As Lead Writer / Project Originator of the popular Gen Z cult film Spree, I conceived the project and wrote the majority of the script.

Strategic Case Study:

Problem:
How to tell a feature narrative with a small budget that attracts a younger demographic.

Solution:
I developed a darkly comic idea about a young male Uber driver with a deadly plan to get more social media followers. The film would be told entirely through dash cams and phones, and there would be an accompanying social-media marketing campaign featuring the protagonist.

Result
Stranger Things actor Joe Keery signed on to play the lead, the film (co-written and directed by Eugene Kotlyarenko) debuted at Sundance, and has gone on to become a wildly popular cult film with Gen Z audiences, garnering over 162k views on Letterboxd. The accompanying “Kurt’s World” social media marketing campaign became a smash, with over a million Instagram followers and 3.7 million TikTok followers.
